As a steadfast generalist, I have chased my passions down multiple pathways - from within government and on political campaigns to NGOs and the private sector - and all with a common through line: working on solutions to large-scale social challenges. As a writer, I focus on politics, culture and history. I also consult and collaborate with partners across business, government and the nonprofit sector to build and scale high-impact social and political initiatives. Previously at Pearson, the world's largest education company, I led the company's award-winning social impact campaign Project Literacy to improve literacy rates worldwide as well as provided strategic direction and leadership for the broader culture of innovation agenda within the business. Locally in the Bay Area, I have served on the board of a nonprofit that supports children in the foster care system and a regional advisory committee that provides organizations training and capital to profitably increase their social impact.
